PASTORAL CARE
The clergy and lay leadership of St. James will continue to be attentive to the pastoral needs of the congregation. We strongly encourage you to stay connected with us through social media, email, text, and by phone. If you or someone needs assistance and/or support, please contact us by email, by phone (559) 439-5011, or click the "Submit Pastoral Request" button below.

The sense of isolation can become quite pressing during a period of self-quarantine. If you, for any reason at all, need advice, counsel, and comfort of a member of the clergy, do not hesitate to contact any staff cleric by email, by phone (559) 439-5011
PHONE TREE SUPPORT MINISTRY
St. James is in the process of establishing a "Phone Tree Ministry." Leaders will be asked to contact members of the congregation whether it is to check-in with one another or in case of a pastoral emergency.

We are looking for a core group of people who will be responsible to reach out and engage other members. If you are interested please contact us.
FELLOWSHIP
We are developing the best way to digitally connect small and large groups within the congregation. Some of the ideas include Sunday Coffee Hour, interest-based small groups, Bible studies, social meet-ups, and town halls. Below are some initial opportunities and stay tuned as we develop more opportunities to connect.
SUPPORTING THE CATHEDRAL
A few weeks ago, we shared, unfortunately, since the suspension of public worship services and on campus activities, the Cathedral has experienced a 60% drop in pledge/giving income . In addition, we are unable to generate any rental income during this period. Thank you to the individuals/families who made donations through our new online giving portal.
Cathedral team continues to closely monitor St. James' cash flow issue and currently are be able to meet its financial obligations to our staff, ministries, and vendors. However, your continued and ongoing support is needed.
Please make every effort keep your pledge/giving current, and if you are able to do so, please consider giving an additional gift of support to the Cathedral.
As a reminder: In an effort to simplify giving, St. James has partnered with Authorize.Net, the world’s leading secure online payment platform. Through the St. James website, you can quickly and securely submit your pledge/gift by electronic check and credit card. Please note: The fees passed along to St. James are significantly less with electronic check payments compared to credit card payments.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
FOOD BANK
3rd Wednesday @ 2:30PM - 4:30PM (No Other Wednesdays Currently)
It is with heavy heart that we at St. James Cathedral must temporarily suspend our Food Bank Ministry to our community. This decision was not arrived lightly, but prayerfully and in consultation with the Bishop, Dean, clergy, members of SJ Food Bank, governmental entities, and the Central California Food Bank. In weighing the risks to our dedicated volunteers and others in this pandemic, we discern that we must suspend distributions until further notice.

While we are temporarily unable to distribute food, we are actively seeking ways to feed our community through alternative means. Central California Food Bank has offered to coordinate and provide available volunteers for our monthly Neighborhood Market on Wednesday, April 15th, using our provided outside space. We will advise our community through the Food Bank’s Facebook and other social media outlets and announcements on our campus.

We thank those dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to feed our community during this difficult time. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the community we feed and the dedicated volunteers who serve this invaluable ministry. We will return to normal operations as soon as deemed safe by our leadership team at St. James Cathedral.

COTTAGE SHOP
The Cottage Shop will be closed until further notice. If you have donations, please hold them, if able, until the Cottage Shop reopens. Visit the Cottage Shop on Facebook.
COMMUNICATIONS
The clergy and staff of the Cathedral will continued to be available through email and phone. The best way to get a general message to the clergy and/or staff is to email office@stjamesfresno.org. Specific contact information for staff and clergy is also available in MYSJ.
GENERAL OPERATIONS
The clergy, staff, and Chapter of St. James will continue to be available and serve the Cathedral Congregation. We have strongly encouraged the staff and clergy to work remotely whenever possible. The Cathedral office is not open to the public at this time.
